Volunteer Applications

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Rock Harbor. We believe it is more fun when everyone gets to play! Whether helping in Rkidz, greeting at the door, making coffee, playing on the worship team, or helping with tech, you belong here!

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." - 1 Peter 4:10-11

Together, we are the church! Church doesn't happen without volunteers like you. If you're ready to volunteer your gifts to discover your purpose, fill out this application and join the team.

ROCK HARBOR CHURCH VOLUNTEER CODE OF CONDUCT
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." — Colossians 3:23

As a volunteer at Rock Harbor Church, you represent Christ and the heart of our church family. Whether you're greeting guests, serving coffee, working with kids, or helping behind the scenes, your actions and attitude reflect the values we uphold.

1. Lifestyle and Integrity
As a follower of Christ, you are called to live in a way that honors God both inside and outside of church. Volunteers are expected to abstain from alcohol, illegal drugs, vaping, or smoking while serving or participating in church-related events. In speech and conduct, choose what reflects love, grace, and integrity. When conflict arises, we ask that you follow the biblical model of resolution found in Matthew 18:15–17 — going directly to the person first, with a heart to restore and reconcile.

2. Modesty and Personal Presentation
We ask that all volunteers dress modestly and appropriately for the environment they’re serving in. Clothing should not be overly tight, revealing, or display any offensive or inappropriate graphics or language. Whether you’re greeting guests or working with children, your appearance should contribute to a respectful, distraction-free atmosphere that welcomes everyone and honors the Lord.

3. Respect and Relationships
As a volunteer, you are representing Christ in every interaction. Please treat everyone with kindness, humility, and respect — regardless of background, beliefs, or opinions. Volunteers should maintain healthy and appropriate boundaries with one another, guests, and especially with children and students. If you serve in RKidz or with minors, never be alone in a private setting with a child or youth. Always aim to serve in open, visible spaces or with other adults present.

4. Social Media and Representation
Your presence online reflects your role as a representative of both Christ and Rock Harbor Church. Please be mindful of what you post and share, and avoid content that could confuse, mislead, or conflict with the values we hold. Even in digital spaces, your witness matters. We ask that you honor Christ in your words, tone, and interactions online just as you would in person.

Final Commitment Statement
By choosing to serve at Rock Harbor Church, I commit to honoring this Code of Conduct with humility, excellence, and a desire to glorify God. I understand that this role is both a privilege and a responsibility, and I will do my best to reflect Christ in all I do.
