Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church at 13658 W. Meeker Blvd in Sun City West is presenting a Pet First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) class designed for dog and cat owners on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at 1:00pm in Fellowship Hall. These is no charge for this class.

In any pet emergency, your very first step is to contact a veterinarian or local emergency veterinary hospital. First aid acts as a temporary stabilizer to keep your pet alive and safe until professional medical treatment is accessible.

Attendees will learn:

Dog and Cat CPR: Master the proper compression-to-breath ratios.

Choking Relief: Learn how to safely clear a blocked airway.

Bleeding Control: Understand how to bandage wounds and stop heavy bleeding.

Toxin Response: Know what to do if your pet eats something poisonous.

Health Vitals: Learn how to check a pet’s heart rate, pulse and temperature.

Local Risks: Learn how to respond to spider, snake or poisonous toad exposure; how to keep your pet hydrated and safe in the Arizona summer.
