The Book of Acts is the sequel to the Gospel of Luke, providing a historical account of the growth of the church and the spread of Christianity. Jesus told his followers, before he ascended, “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). The first Christians took these words to heart and the Good News of Jesus reached new cultures and people – all the way to us! Let’s sharpen our study skills and be encouraged to live out our faith and reach our world.
