OR - Do Something Saturday (DSS) May 31, 2025  



Join us for our Second Quarter Do Something Saturday on Saturday, May 31, 2025. All members are encouraged to participate in one of the Projects. 
These service projects will be a part of our Do Something Saturday efforts in OUTREACHServing others and giving back is at the heart of community outreach. This special day provides our congregation with the opportunity to come together, lend a helping hand, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need. Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus as we serve with love and compassion! To participate, sign up for ONLY ONE of the service projects in the drop downs provided. A summary of the Projects are as follows:

  1. Medshare

 

Volunteers will sort, identify, and package surplus medical supplies for distribution 

Time: 8:30am-12:00

 

 

  1. Our House-Atlanta-Early Learning

Sanitize classrooms at “Our House” Early Learning Center in Atlanta.

 Time: 9:00am-12:00

 

 

  1. Our House-Atlanta-Brunch

Set up, prepare, and serve brunch to guests at “Our House” shelter for women and children.

Time: 9:00am-12:00

 

 

  1. Our House-Decatur Early Learning

Sanitize classrooms at “Our House” Early Learning Center in Decatur.

 Time: 9:00am-12:00

 

 

  1. My Sisters House
 

Serve and Prepare dinner for the women and children residing at My Sister's House
Time: 4:30-6:00p.,

 

 

  1. New Life Community Alliance

Sort clothing in the “Garments of Grace Clothing Closet

Time: 8:00am-12:00

 

 

  1. Seven Bridges to Recovery

 

Prepare 300+ sack lunches-10:15-11:30

Participate in Street ministry-12:15

Finish the route around 4:00-4:30.

Time: 10:00am-4:00pm
18 years and older

 

 

 

  1. Phillips Tower Senior Community

Set up the recreation room for Bingo, hand out game cards, announce numbers, check winning cards, and distribute prizes. Assist in serving snacks the residents.

Time: 2:00 p.m.-4:00 pm.

      9. City Bridges
 

Packaging food boxes, and moving and Load Carts.

9:30 am-12:00 pm

    10. Bloom Closet

Sort and Process donations to provide essential items to foster children in Georgia.                                                     Time: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
