| Living in the Field of Maybe |
Scripture: Matthew 13:24-30
Too often the field of our life is filled with "maybes". Maybe this is a good thing like wheat. Maybe this is a bad thing like a weed. So, I ask you…Is that wheat growing in your garden? Maybe. Or is it a weed? Maybe. I wish life was as simple as easily identifying what is a weed or what is wheat. I wish it was as easy as getting on my knees and pulling some weeds. But it’s not. I have wheat and weeds growing in the garden of my life. I suppose you do too. More and more, however, I’m finding my life to be an intertwined and complicated maybe. Things are seldom black and white. They are typically a shade of grey. Join us on Sunday as we take a look at what Jesus has to say about the fields in our lives. Maybe...just maybe we can find an answer there.

The Journey is a weekly gathering for prayer. Everyone is invited to join in the discussion and time of prayer. The meeting is held in the Freeman House at 6:30PM on Tuesdays.

Spirit Seekers 26 is our corporate prayer initiative for the year. We are focusing on praying for the Holy Spirit to pour out gifts of hospitality, forgiveness, peace, unity, compassion and generosity on our church. Take a slip of paper from the boat on the altar and pray for that specific gift for a month. Then, swap it out for another gift. Let the Spirit loose here at Cornerstone! |

Please join us as we celebrate the life of Kay Hedgepeth, our beloved First Lady on Saturday, July 25 at 11:00AM at Cornerstone.
The service will be followed by an old-fashioned Baptist Sunday Dinner with fried chicken and all the fixins. The church will provide the fried chicken.

I have been abundantly blessed by the outpouring of your loving support over these past few months and especially as Kay's condition continued to worsen. We felt your prayers and your loving thoughts so strongly and we appreciated every one of them. Those of you who delivered food or who gave money to the Meal Train have blessed us beyond measure. I truly am blessed to serve as your pastor. Those of you who are among the hundreds who have posted condolences and words of encouragement on various online platforms have made the days easier for me as I adjust to life without Kay. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
