Job Title: Lead Pastor
Supervisor: Leadership Board
Hours: Full-time position – 50 hours/week
FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt
Summary: We are prayerfully seeking a Christ-centered, Spirit-led Lead Pastor to guide our church and community in fulfilling our vision and mission. The ideal candidate will preach and teach God’s Word to inspire spiritual growth. He will lead with humility and biblical wisdom, empowering others, while building authentic relationships that foster unity. He must model a life of prayer and evangelism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the church and local community.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, biblically based sermons aligned with the church’s vision and mission.
- Oversee and work collaboratively with church staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers.
- Cast and implement Spirit-led vision for the church in partnership with the Leadership Board.
- Foster a welcoming, multicultural, and multigenerational church environment.
- Encourage and equip members to actively serve in ministry.
- Teach and disciple individuals and groups to grow in faith.
- Represent the church in the community with a heart for outreach and evangelism.
- Invest intentionally in developing staff members’ character, competency, and calling.
- Cultivate a healthy, collaborative, grace-filled culture.
- Shepherd the congregation through prayer, counseling, and visitation as needed.
Qualifications:
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a deep love for the Church.
- Shepherd’s heart with a servant-leader mindset.
- Pursue a life of moral integrity, sound doctrine, and self-discipline consistent with the calling of a shepherd (1 Timothy 3:1–7).
- A degree in theology, ministry, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication, teaching, and preaching skills.
- Proven leadership experience in a pastoral or ministry context.
- Ability to inspire church engagement and service.
