The space between Easter and Mother’s Day is an interesting time in church life. On the one hand, you have new people attending for the first time because they joined with us on Easter and liked what they saw. On the other hand, you have regular members who are hitting a wall: the end of school year fatigue, tax day, and the on-slot of pollinating trees affecting their sinuses and respiratory systems.

This season of life can make Sunday mornings feel inconsistent. But I can I encourage you that consistency breeds momentum? In your life life and in your spiritual life. 

Let’s be the kind of people who keep showing up on Sundays and Wednesdays. For Jesus and for each other. Whether you come in energized or exhausted, you belong here.

As we begin our new fiscal year, we had two great Budget Information Meetings over the past couple of days. I’m grateful for everyone who participated, and I’m excited about what’s ahead for our church.

As we look ahead, it’s helpful to remember what Scripture teaches about generosity. Giving is not something the Church wants “FROM” you but something God wants “FOR” you. In Philippians 4:17, Paul writes, “Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.”

Our budget is simply the plan for how that generosity becomes ministry. It allows us to continue serving every generation, welcoming new people, investing in missions, and supporting the people and spaces that make it all possible.

Thank you for your faithfulness in giving. Your generosity is making a real impact as we step into this new year together.

When I first started working with Power House, I got to sit and talk with our student leaders and ask them a series of questions about PH. I wanted a better understanding of what PH meant to them. They shared countless adjectives that quickly made me realize how special this place is. The next few months brought renovations and updates to our physical space. We flipped the room's layout, added a stage, and painted the walls. 

There was one last box to check off my to-do list: the logo. We had a great logo that brought us through a season of Power House, but we wanted a new one that would represent who we are in this new season. 

For seven months, I worked with a few of our interns to try to figure out what it would look like. We would send inspiration photos to each other and even went back to our student leaders to ask for their help. But nothing felt right. It never held weight. So, we took a step back and asked ourselves, “What is Power House? Who is Power House?”. After weeks of brainstorming, prayer, and a lot of editing, we had answered those questions. 

The answers to those questions led us to a new mission statement that will help guide us. It is based on our new verses (Colossians 2:6-7) that will be the backbone of our ministry. Which, in combination, finally got us to our new logo! We are so excited about the new look and this new season of Power House. 

Power House Mission statement: “Power House is a community rooted in Christ, focused on building up student leaders to be established in their faith and sent out.”

Registration for Kingdom Quest VBS is officially open today! We’re so excited to invite kids ages 3 through rising 6th grade to join us for an unforgettable week of fun, adventure, and discovering what it means to follow Jesus and find life in God’s kingdom. Spots will fill up quickly, so be sure to sign up today! We can’t wait to see your family there!

Did you know that community is a gift from God that he has given us to spur one another on toward love and good deeds?  The writer of Hebrews urges us not to give up meeting together and encouraging one another. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

We are thankful that so many are gathering together in small groups before worship on Sunday and during the week. We encourage everyone to find a small group. If you need to find a group reach out with the connection card below and we will help you get connected.  Many of our Sunday groups are in temporary locations while we undergo renovations and we are so thankful for all the continued help and flexibility during this time.

Sunday, April 26, 3-5PM 

A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief and help you move through the grief process. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief and gain solid support each step of the way.
