Dear Church Family,

When Jesus taught us to pray, He did not begin with a request. He began with a relationship: “Our Father.”

That single phrase would have been stunning to His first listeners.  Jesus did not say my Father, as if prayer were a private privilege for the holy huddle. Prayer begins not with distance, but with belonging.

And Jesus did not say Master, Judge, or Creator—though God is all of these. He said Father. This is not sentimental language; it is relational language. It tells us that before we confess our sin, before we ask for daily bread, before we plead for deliverance, we are already loved in Christ.

To pray “Our Father” is to step into a relationship secured not by our performance, but by grace. It means we come as children—honest, dependent, and unafraid to draw near. It means no one prays alone. And it means heaven is not closed to us, but leaning toward us.

May this week slow your prayers. May it steady your heart. And may the words “Our Father” remind you who you are—and whose you are.

Cheers,

Psalm 96 calls the people of God to sing a new song, not because God needs our praise, but because He is worthy of it. The Psalm declares His salvation, His glory, and His marvelous works to all nations, boldly contrasting the living, sovereign God with the empty idols of the world. It centers our attention on who God truly is: great beyond comparison, clothed in majesty and strength, radiant in holiness and beauty. Psalm 96 reminds us that worship is not something we manufacture, it is the natural response of hearts that rightly see and revere the Lord.

This past Sunday was a truly special night. It was one of those rare moments where thoughtful preparation and holy surrender met in perfect harmony. Countless hours of planning went into Worship & Testimony Night, but it became unmistakably clear that none of it mattered apart from the leading of the Holy Spirit. He didn’t simply lead, He showed up in a powerful and profound way. Grounded in Psalm 96:1–6, students lifted both their voices and their stories, declaring the glory, salvation, and worth of God with boldness and joy.

Twelve students courageously shared testimonies rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus, while two student worship teams led us with humility, reverence, and a clear heart posture of praise. What unfolded was exactly what worship and testimony are meant to be, God’s faithfulness proclaimed, not to elevate the storyteller, but to magnify the Savior. When Jesus is the focus and the Spirit is given room to move, worship becomes more than music, testimony becomes more than words, and the gathered church becomes a living offering of praise to a worthy God.

Little ones grow fast, and we want to pause and celebrate the gift God has given your family. Child Dedication is a special moment for parents to say, “We’re committing to raise our child to know and love Jesus,” with the church family cheering you on and praying alongside you.

If you’re thinking about dedicating your child, join us for a Child Dedication interest meeting after church on February 15th. We’ll share what dedication is all about, what it's not, what to expect, and how we get to walk this faith journey together.

Dear Church Family,

The Finance Department had a great week launching our new online giving platform. We are thankful that many of you have already transitioned to the new system.

If you currently have a recurring tithe set up in Fellowship One, please note that this giving platform will be turned off on February 16th. If you need assistance closing your account with Fellowship One, please email or call Lisa Bowman at lbowman@fbcwp.org or 407-644-3061.

Please also note that your information in Fellowship One does not automatically transfer to Churchteams, so you will need to create a new profile. When visiting the Churchteams page, do not click “Login.” Instead, begin at the donation box to set up your new giving information.

Thank you for your continued generosity and for helping make this transition smooth for everyone.
