As we gather together this week for our worship service I want us to try our best to keep 2 things in mind:

1. Remember…God is always doing a new thing.  So we want to arrive expectantly in anticipation of what new thing God is up to in each of our lives and in our community. 

2. God is doing a new thing in bringing all of us to live MORE ON MISSION.  

This Sunday we get to hear from Pastor Brett Stamps on yielding to God on mission.  What mission you may ask? The Great Commission of Jesus Christ to love God and love neighbors by making disciples.  The mission that creates world missions.  

Maybe you come anxious about what it means to live on mission.  Get ready to be encouraged.  Maybe you come resistant to live on mission. Get ready to be surprised.  Maybe you come with other needs. Get ready to feel welcomed and wanted. 

My friend David Uth likes to say, "The life you have always wanted is likely hidden in the mission you have always feared." 

One of my favorite Christian artists, Steven Curtis Chapman, reminds us similarly: THIS IS THE GREAT ADVENTURE.  

So however you show up this Sunday, let’s be ready to lean into what God is doing.

As we approach the end of our spring Wednesday night season, we’re grateful for all God has done these past few months. From Easter celebrations to new faces, baptisms, and meaningful ministry moments, God has been at work.

Wednesday, May 13 will be our final Wednesday night programming of the spring before we shift into summer rhythms.

As summer begins, schedules change, but our mission stays the same. We hope you’ll stay connected, stay rested, and stay expectant for all God has ahead

Friday night, our students took part in something truly unique, an experience that connected us to believers all over the world through Secret Church, led by David Platt.

Secret Church is designed to reflect what many followers of Jesus experience globally gathering in extended, focused times of teaching and prayer, often at great cost. This year, we joined thousands of believers in a deep and challenging study on the life of Elijah. Together, we walked through his bold faith, his moments of fear and doubt, and his unwavering dependence on God in the midst of a spiritually dark culture.

But it wasn’t just about learning it was about responding.

Throughout the night, we paused to pray intentionally for the nations, especially for hard-to-reach places like Nepal, where many people have little to no access to the gospel. Our students weren’t just listeners, they became participants in God’s global mission, lifting up brothers and sisters they may never meet this side of heaven.

This wasn’t a typical Friday night Bible study. It was a focused, extended, and at times stretching experience hours spent leaning in, engaging Scripture, and crying out to God on behalf of the world. And honestly, that’s what makes it so meaningful:

We had 25 students choose to show up for that.

On a Friday night. I’m not going to say every student made it to 1am, but most did.

That says something powerful.

It speaks to a growing hunger in our students not just for community or fun events, but for depth, truth, and a faith that actually costs something. Moments like this remind us that God is stirring something real in the next generation, and it’s a privilege to walk alongside them as He does.

A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief and help you move through the grief process. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief and gain solid support each step of the way.
