Church Family,

Before I share our Easter week plans, I want to offer a friendly reminder up top: this Sunday we spring forward for Daylight Saving Time: Don't forget to own a smartphone or to set your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night!

Easter week is at the end of this month. I want to encourage you to write down the following dates or to put them in the affirmation smartphone I talked about in the first paragraph.

First, we will be having two identical Palm Sunday services at 9:00 and 10:30 AM. We expect a larger number of participants on this Sunday, so may I encourage you to try to attend the 9AM service and help serve at the 10:30 service?

On the afternoon of Palm Sunday, we will be having our Easter festival, which includes an egg hunt. This will take place on our front lawn from 4 to 6 PM.

On Good Friday, we will gather for a meaningful service of testimonies and praise songs at 6:00 PM.

Finally, we will hold two identical Easter services at 9:00 and 10:30 AM.  Again, plan to attend one and be available to serve at another one.

This is among the most important weeks in the calendar, and I cannot think of a better group of people to celebrate it with. I hope to see every one of you throughout the week.

Cheers,

Easter is one of the most meaningful weeks in the life of our church and a special opportunity to serve others in our community. Many people will visit church during Easter who may not attend regularly, and a warm, organized experience can make a lasting difference.

If you would like a simple way to help others and be part of what God is doing during Easter week, we would love for you to serve in one of our hospitality roles such as parking, guest hosting, greeting, or helping with event logistics. These roles help people feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive.

1) Palm Sunday – March 29

Services at 9:00 am and 10:30 am

2) Easter Festival (Easter Egg Hunt and more!) – March 29

4:00–6:00 pm

3) Easter Sunday – April 5

Services at 9:00 am and 10:30 am

Serving is a simple way to make a meaningful impact. As one of my pastors used to say: you’re never more like Jesus than when you’re serving.

If you would like to participate and serve during any of these opportunities, please email itrevino@fbcwp.org and let us know which time or event you are available for.

A Special Missions Partnership

When Bronwyn and I were in Kenya, one of the most meaningful ministries we were part of was serving the children of missionaries. Finding real community can be difficult for them, and helping create those connections was both challenging and deeply rewarding.

Recently, we’ve felt led to continue that kind of ministry and I’m excited to share that we’ve connected with a family serving with the International Mission Board (IMB) in the Middle East.

Because of security concerns, I can’t share their names, country, or actual photo. What I can tell you is that they have four children who would all be in Power House.

How We’re Supporting Them

We’re working on ways to help those students feel connected to our students, while also supporting the family prayerfully and financially. We’re even exploring safe ways for their students to video in and share about life on the mission field.

Please join us in praying for protection, joy, endurance, and meaningful connection to the Body of Christ.

If you’d like to learn more about how to support them  or any former PH students and interns heading to the mission field email me at bstamps@fbcwp.org.

Grateful to serve with you,
Brett

Did you know that community is a gift from God that he has given us to spur one another on toward love and good deeds.  The writer of Hebrews urges us not to give up meeting together and encouraging one another. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

We are thankful that so many are gathering together in small groups before worship on Sunday and during the week. We encourage everyone to find a small group.
