Scripture: Matthew 14:22-33
I wish I could tell you that when you come to Jesus, all your problems will be over. I wish I could tell you that when you give your life to God, it will all be clear sailing. I wish I could tell you that following Jesus means a quiet life and an easy road. But I can’t tell you any of those things, because I would be lying. Life is tough for everyone, Jesus’ followers included. Join us this Sunday as we look at three promises Jesus gives each of us so that even when we are in the middle of one of life's stormy seasons, we can be comforted and encouraged.

Spirit Seekers 26 is our corporate prayer initiative for the year. We are focusing on praying for the Holy Spirit to pour out gifts of hospitality, forgiveness, peace, unity, compassion and generosity on our church. Take a slip of paper from the boat on the altar and pray for that specific gift for a month. Then, swap it out for another gift. Let the Spirit loose here at Cornerstone! |
