Scripture: Matthew 22:14-22
People often say, “If you don’t want to get into trouble, don’t talk about religion or politics.” Well, I must be feeling especially brave this week, because this Sunday morning we are going to talk about both. The Pharisees are the ones who bring up the issue, but it is Jesus who gives us instruction about God and government and the relationship between the two. Come join us for worship and let's get this sorted out once and for all.

| Ministry Team Focus & Spotlight |
Our Ministry Teams are designed to provide opportunities for individuals with a variety spiritual gifts and natural abilities to get more fully engaged in the life of the church. We currently have twelve teams that function together to minister both inside and outside the walls of the church building. Each team is led by someone that has felt a call to facilitate their specific area of ministry. The team leaders meet together on occasion to share their challenges and accomplishments. Working in collaboration across team responsibilities allows our teams to further enhance their effectiveness.
This week, we are highlighting 2 Ministry Teams.
The Hospitality Ministry Team provides opportunities for people to gather for food, fun and fellowship. Individuals that are social butterflies, aspiring chefs, and enjoy making others feel welcome are perfect for this ministry. Team Leader Melissa Boesen is in need of volunteers to receive foods from people arriving for church on Celebration Sundays as she is actively involved with the Worship Ministry Team on Sunday mornings.
The Ritual Arts Ministry Team seeks to provide worship experiences that engage all of the senses through Sanctuary décor. Individuals who have a flair for staging, lighting, etc. will find a place to use their gifts with this team. Team Leader Tony Tatum is currently planning the décor for Advent and Christmas. If you have any questions or want to sign up, please let him know. |
