Coming Down from the Mountain

Scripture: Luke 9:37-43

We alluded to the fact a couple of weeks ago that life often feels like a roller coaster. We move from dizzying heights to devastating lows and sometimes it all happens in just a few days . . . or even hours. One minute we are planning a dream vacation, the next we are planning a funeral. One moment we are celebrating a new job and the next minute we are reeling from layoffs caused by downsizing. Life is filled with ups and downs and some of these are drastic. We saw Jesus and his chosen disciples having one of life's highs when they were up on the mountain with Moses and Elijah. This Sunday, we will see what happened when they came down from the mountain. Join us for worship this week at 10:45.

A Note from Pastor Sara...

To everyone who came to help us with our Mardi Gras Parking Fundraiser, I say a huge thank you! Together, we raised over $10,000! This money will be a blessing to everyone as we celebrate our anniversary, fund our insurance deductible account, and do some much needed cosmetic work on our buildings.
