PRAISE POINTS
- Praise God for a wonderful Vacation Bible School this summer! We were especially encouraged that relationships formed in VBS continued afterward, with a couple of families beginning to attend Juniper Community Church.
- Our VBS children raised more than $400 toward buying a motorbike for church-planting in Southeast Asia. Our adults donated the remaining funds, giving our children an opportunity to see firsthand that they can participate in what God is doing around the world.
-
During the peak of Central Oregon wildfires, Juniper hosted a Zoom prayer gathering for Free Methodist churches across Oregon, Washington, and California. Thank God for people representing dozens of churches who joined together in prayer for the communities, families, firefighters, and churches affected by the fires.
-
When Warm Springs community experienced a need for drinking water, our congregation responded by collecting water to help. One of our members was able to distribute the water through her workplace on the reservation, giving us a practical opportunity to love and serve.

PRAYER POINTS
Pray for the new people God has brought to Juniper over the summer, including some who first connected through VBS. Pray that we will help them build genuine friendships, find their place in our church family, and take meaningful next steps in following Jesus. Pray especially for upcoming connection points, including Back to Church Sunday with our Hispanic Church Plant pastored by Edgar & Olga Garcia, hosting a Mexican BBQ, then later our Fall Newcomers Lunch, and a Baptism Sunday.
- Pray as we begin implementing Discipology, becoming more intentional about making disciples who make disciples. Pray that our church family will grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus and that God will equip us to help others follow Him—developing a culture where discipleship becomes a natural, multiplying part of life at Juniper.
-
Pray that God will keep opening doors for us to build meaningful relationships and serve our neighbors in Madras, Jefferson County, and the Warm Springs community through practical expressions of God’s love, including partnerships with LINC, Community Church in the Park Night, the Madras Shelter, AWANA, Young Life, Red Cross and more.
