Martin Luther says that in order for us to remember that sin has no hold on us we need to “call a thing what it is”. In our Mental health world we have a phrase of the same ilk that says “name it to tame it”. Both the theological and the psychological lead us towards shedding stigma and engaging in difficult conversation. Please join Deacon Bri and Mary Harris (LCSW) as they put their ministry and social work heads together to help YOU (parents/grandparents/aunts and uncles mentors etc) navigate the world of mental health and un-health with kids and teenagers. We are all swimming in the soup of “is that normal?” “Should I be worried about that?” “How do I talk about this?” Let us help you swim a little easier!
