Welcome to Cornerstone MCC! |
We are living and sharing God's love in Christ for all by practicing radical hospitality, passionate worship, intentional discipleship, risk-taking outreach and service, and extravagant generosity. Love is our core value!
Our Worship Services begin at 10:45am on Sundays. We also live-stream via our Facebook page and YouTube channel. We are located at 1007 Government Street, Mobile, AL 36604. Support Cornerstone, Donate Now |

| Scripture: Philemon 1:1-21
I’m sure there have been times in each of our lives when we acted aggressively to get another person to see things our way. And I’m sure there have been times when we chose to avoid the difficult conversations. Neither of these actions works toward resolution of a conflict. This Sunday, we are going to take a look at Paul's "go to" solution in times of conflict as he helps a slave and the slave's former master work out their relationship.

| September Celebration Luncheon |
Celebration Sunday is finally here and we are going Rompin' with the Ropers with our 1970's themed luncheon. Everyone is encouraged to come dressed like Stan or Helen Roper from the 70's sitcom Three's Company and to bring covered dishes from that wacky era. Casseroles, fondu (actually, anything that can be dipped in a sauce), layered and congealed salads, etc. are the foods we will enjoy together! Bring your favorites and join us for a time of fun and fellowship after worship.

Our Take 5 in 25 Prayer Initiative is going strong and people are reporting amazing things in their lives because of it. Take a slip of paper with 5 names on it and pray for those people every day for an entire month. The blessing of lifing others up in prayer will change you. |

| Our Ministry Team Spotlight this week is the Safe Campus Ministry Team. The Safe Campus Ministry Team provides security for all planned church campus activities.
Individuals who are comfortable working behind the scenes to protect others will find a place of service in this ministry.
Team Leader Carl Jackson is currently seeking one or two people to take his place as the “observer” when he is in the Freeman House as part of a Faith Forward teaching pair. The observer occupies a place near the back of the sanctuary and takes note of anything out of the ordinary. If a situation arises, the observer acts to control it with other members of the team.

As summer draws to a close and we turn our thoughts toward our Annual Congregational Meeting in November, I want to encourage everyone to spend some time in prayerful discernment about your role in our ministry. We have a place of service for each one. If you aren't actively supporting one or more of these ministries, please find the one that speaks to your passion. Our church is healthier when we all give our energy to the things that make us a Family in God. If you need help finding your place, come speak to me and we'll work together to get you connected in a deeper way to Cornerstone MCC.
