| Scripture: Matthew 22:1-14
A question we often wonder about when it comes to committing our life to following the way of Jesus is why do some people respond to the gospel while others don’t? Why do some people put their faith in Christ when they hear the good news while others do not? Are the people who put their faith in Christ somehow better or smarter than those who do not? Did they have better natures or less failure to overcome? That can’t be the reason because the Bible says we have all fallen short of the life God meant for us. The invitation of the gospel goes out to all. So why is it that some believe, while others do not? It’s a question that Jesus explores and answers in this Sunday’s parable, the parable of the wedding banquet. Join us for worship and find the answers to these questions.

We have a new ministry for people who are the primary caregivers of someone with a chronic illness or disability and those who are grieving the passing of a loved one after an illness. It is called Soulcare and it is meant to give people a place to vent, ask for advice, and simply support one another. This week, we are gathering with our family members at Logan's by Springdale Mall at 6:00 on Thursday evening for dinner and fellowship. Join us if you could use a little care and compassion in your life.

| Ministry Team Focus & Spotlight |
Our Ministry Teams are designed to provide opportunities for individuals with a variety spiritual gifts and natural abilities to get more fully engaged in the life of the church. We currently have twelve teams that function together to minister both inside and outside the walls of the church building. Each team is led by someone that has felt a call to facilitate their specific area of ministry. The team leaders meet together on occasion to share their challenges and accomplishments. Working in collaboration across team responsibilities allows our teams to further enhance their effectiveness.
This week, we are highlighting the Worship Arts Ministry Team. This team seeks to provide worship experiences where people connect with God through diverse, dynamic, innovative styles that appeal to all ages and spiritual temperaments. The audio-visual components of worship are also included in this team and provide opportunities for reaching outside of the walls of the church and into the community through several social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. Individuals who love to sing, play an instrument, or have skills with sound and live streaming production will find a spot on this team gratifying. Team Leader Way Bailey is always ready to add new voices to the choir and is also thinking about ways to include our young people with musical gifts. If you are ready to sing or play an instrument, please let him know. He is also seeking individuals who enjoy capturing events in the life of the church through photography or videography and posting current activities on the internet.
