This month, I want to take a moment to recommend a great resource to you from my new friend, Phil Taylor. Phil is a part of our XPMinistry Network, and he has been in the XP world for over two decades. Not only is he an XP, but he is also a consultant, a Pastoral coach, a speaker, and an author. You can learn more about Phil by visiting his website, Backstage Pastors.
This past month, I had an opportunity to read his newly revised book, Defining The Executive Pastor Role. And, I must say, it’s great! In this book, Phil does an excellent job addressing important things that every Executive Pastor needs to know.
You might be reading this newsletter and thinking to yourself, “That sounds great, but I don’t have time to read another book.” Let me put your mind at ease. The chapters are short and simple, but the content is helpful. I found myself constantly reaching for my yellow highlighter so that I could easily refer back to information that will help me at my church.
Whether you are a brand new XP, or you have been in the role for a long time, I would highly encourage you to order a copy of his book. This is one book that you will be glad you have on your bookshelf. You can order a copy on Amazon HERE.
Thanks for your hard work, Phil! I am certain that your book will help a lot of Executive Pastors.
