This week's scripture describes not only a seriously uncomfortable situation in Simon Peter's discipleship, but more significantly, a tremendously impactful moment in a spiritual battle that has been raging between Heaven and Earth since Genesis 3.
You can't fight an enemy you don't know or evade the enemy's snares when you don't recognize their tactics.
So, get ready to learn a few things about Satan this Sunday because we don't want to end up like Peter, unwittingly switching allegiance against the Almighty in the very instant Jesus reveals His perfect mission plan for the Messiah. ~ Emmie Jones |

Spirit Seekers 26 is our corporate prayer initiative for the year. We are focusing on praying for the Holy Spirit to pour out gifts of hospitality, forgiveness, peace, unity, compassion and generosity on our church. Take a slip of paper from the boat on the altar and pray for that specific gift for a month. Then, swap it out for another gift. Let the Spirit loose here at Cornerstone! |

We have several volunteer opportunities available.
Faith Foundations, our children's ministry, is seeking volunteers to serve as leaders who are willing to devote one Sunday per month to teaching our young people. We are trying to expand our children's ministry to have one class for younger children and one class for youth. Please contact Emmie Jones if you are called to this important ministry.
