Worship Update

Great news, for many years I have publicly and privatively prayed for the next worship deacon. The Lord has answered my prayer and has brought a new deacon for worship from our church membership. Kate Hinrichs has accepted the role of deacon and the elders have enthusiastically affirmed Kate for that ministry role.

Kate has a background in music that goes back to her childhood. Her father was a music instructor She has been part of worship teams and led worship. Kate is the wife of Austin and mother of 2-year-old, Hattie and lives in Watertown. She has been serving with the Gilbertson team. Kate is a member, a well-qualified music leader, and a well-trained musician. More importantly, she has a great passion for helping people worship Jesus Christ and experience in helping people do that through many forms of worship.

I will work alongside her for as long as she wants to help her learn the role. She starts immediately and will begin working with the worship team leaders with planning, scheduling, and continuity. I am so grateful and am prayerfully approaching this new season of supporting the worship ministry with Kate taking the lead.
