Stop by the CFC Veteran Ministry Fellowship and Coffee event before or after the Sunday services on September 20, 2026. We will meet outside The Gathering Room for the morning services and outside the Chapel for the 4:15 PM service. Please note: We will not gather before the 8:00 AM service.
Veterans, Service members—including active duty, Reserve, and National Guard members—their loved ones, and Veteran Ministry volunteers are warmly invited to the Fellowship and Coffee event. This month we will celebrate the U.S. Air Force's 79th birthday (actual birthday is Friday, September 18, 2026). Saturday, September 26, 2026: Volunteers Needed for Honor Flight EVV21 Heroes Welcome Home Parade |
Veterans from our local community are heading to Washington, DC on the 21st Honor Flight (EVV21) by Honors Flight of Southern Indiana, Saturday, September 26!
Come join the Southern Indiana community and CFC Veteran Ministry members for a spectacular Welcome Home Parade at Evansville Regional Airport (EVV) Saturday night, September 26. The plane lands at EVV at 6:45 PM CST and parade starts at approx. 7:15 PM CST (see flyer below for details).
Let’s give these 85–87 EVV21 Veterans the warm, enthusiastic, and joy-filled welcome home they deserve for their military service!

25 Years Later: Reflecting on Events of September 11, 2001

Twenty-five years later, our nation continues to remember and reflect on the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. At the time, I was serving as a U.S. Army officer in the Office of the Secretary of the Army at the Pentagon, Washington, DC, working as a liaison to Congress.
I witnessed firsthand the devastation of the attack on the Pentagon—an event that forever changed our nation. Unimaginable tragedy and loss also unfolded at the World Trade Center in New York City and in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. I will always remember the thousands of precious lives lost, including friends and coworkers, as well as the extraordinary courage, unity, and sacrifice of first responders, military personnel, and ordinary citizens.
Above all, I praise our sovereign God for His sustaining grace, perfect peace, and faithful presence. Even in our darkest moments, He remains our refuge and strength.
Please pray that those whose lives were forever changed on that tragic day put their trust in the Lord. Pray they seek peace and comfort in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
