Thank you for your interest in serving as a chaplain during the 2026 South Carolina State Fair.

Each year, chaplains from LBA & CMBA churches across the Midlands come together to provide prayer, encouragement, and opportunities to share the hope of the Gospel with fair employees, vendors, fellow volunteers, and guests.

Before serving, every chaplain must complete the following:

Required Steps

1. Complete Your Registration

Register below to reserve your place for training. Training will be on August 20, 2026 at the Lexington Baptist Association building from 11a.m. to 1p.m. Lunch is provided.

2. Submit Your Pastoral Recommendation

If you are not currently serving on staff at a church in Lexington Baptist Association or Columbia Metro Baptist Association, you must submit a pastoral recommendation completed by your Senior/Lead Pastor. A current NAMB Chaplain endorsement satisfies this requirement.

You may email the form to Logan Douglas or bring a signed copy with you to training.

3. Complete SBC Essentials Training

All chaplains must complete the SBC Essentials: Sexual Abuse Prevention & Response course by September 30, 2026.

Instructions for accessing the course will be included in your registration confirmation email. Once complete, email a confirmation of completion to Logan Douglas (logan@mylba.org).
