| City: Charleston | Gender Mix: Co-ed / Mixed | Children: Some Ages Welcome (see description for details) | Location: Coastal's Campus | Description: 8AM-1PM Meet At: 1113 Sam Rittenberg Blvd, (Elks Lodge) Volunteer with Soldiers' Angels to supply low-income veterans and their families with food assistance at the Mobile Food Distribution. This project consists of preparing groceries (provided by the local food bank) for approximately 250 local veterans and their families. Volunteers then assist in the loading of the groceries into the veteran’s vehicle. Many of these veterans are disabled and have financial difficulties. It is a wonderful opportunity to give back to those who have given our nation so much. (Ages 12 and up) |
