We are a welcoming and loving group of active, older adults with children, grandchildren, and, in a few cases, great grandchildren. Among us are several widows and a widower who recently remarried. Whereas most of us have walked with the Lord and studied His Word for many years, we share a longing for a closer walk with Him and seek to obey His leading and respond to opportunities to minister to others. We pray for each other and with each other; we support each other in practical ways as needs arise.
We meet once every two weeks, but most of the ladies meet weekly for Bible study and most of the men do the same. Also, we gather for a shared meal every couple of months. What we study varies according to the one who is leading. For example, John Reid led us in a study of the book of Proverbs; Steve Crewdson and Ray Mabe took us through the prophetic book of Daniel; currently, John Stephens is helping us identify those important truths necessary for a close relationship with the Lord.

Description: We have the joy of studying God’s Word in a welcoming, nurturing environment. We have all ages and all levels of Biblical knowledge. Our group is close, supporting one another in difficult and challenging times, in times of loss, and personal struggle. It is such a blessing studying the Word with this group of ladies and I believe each member would indicate they have grown in knowledge and faith in our studies.
We have been using Bible study books that span a 10-week period of time. We cover the entire book of the Bible, usually taking 10 weeks, and then wrap up with a dinner and time of fellowship. We pray collectively and individually for one another and for families and friends. Our goal is to truly learn, understand, and be able to apply God’s Word to our lives and to understand the perfect dynamics of Scripture, and how all words tie into the message of our Savior and the Trinity’s love for us. Through our study, we go one Book at a time, one Word at a time, so that we truly understand what the passage is saying and revealing to us. Our studies have been a true blessing!
